Gateway 1: Animal Dreams is the first part of a trilogy.
Jacob is a horse-shifter and has known since their first meeting that Mandy is his mate. Mandy was forced to leave when a prophesy that foretold that a woman would have to sacrifice her live in order to save the world. After over a decade of pain and loneliness, fate brings Mandy back and he knows that he’ll never survive if he has to let her go again.
Mandy Bartlett has always felt like she’s different from everyone else and she’s not sure why. A wild horse comes to her in her dreams and she’s determined to find out if he’s real or not so she decides to move back to her uncle’s ranch in California and search for him. She meets Jacob and feels a sense of coming him as well as an intense desire that not only ignites her body but also fires her soul.
Gateway1: Animal Dreams is easily one of the best books that I’ve ever read and is the cornerstone for an exciting new trilogy by Jeanne Laws. Ms. Laws is a talented and creative writer that intuitively knows what the reader needs. From the first page to the last, I was transfixed and could not put the book down. While I had not intended to read it in one sitting, I simply could not put it down until it was finished. The depth that she gives to Jacob’s feelings is both heart-warming as well as heart breaking. His character was so well developed and appealing, you can’t but fall in love with him. The moment that Mandy and Jacob see each other, their chemistry burns the pages. I experienced a wide array of emotions while reading Gateway 1: Animal Dreams and enjoyed every minute of it.
I highly recommend reading this book.
