Lin is half were.  Her mother is human and is mated with her were father.  Her mother and father are Alpha’s of their pack and have sheltered Lin all of her life.  On her eighteenth birthday she went out on the town and purposefully ditched her bodyguard by making sure he drank enough to pass out at the last bar that they were at. 

Lowell used to be an Omega in Lin’s pack when she was just a child.  He left to find and become Alpha of his own pack.  Leaving Lin’s pack was the only way he would ever be able to mate.  He witnessed a beautiful woman being accosted by a drunken man at the bar and went to her rescue against his better judgment.  When he realizes that this beautiful woman is Lin, all grown up, he can’t help the attraction he has for her. 

Lin is amazed at the changes that the years have made in Lowell.  She has not seen him since she was a child.  He stands taller, and has become a sexy man.  She is attracted to him and can’t help but to want him.  She taunts him into claiming her.  Lowell takes Lin home to introduce her to her new pack and to show her where her new home is.  Lowell can’t help the feelings of inadequacy that being with Lin arises in him but fights them because she belongs to him.  She is his mate and he will have her even if her father, his old Alpha, is not going to be happy about loosing his little girl to a former Omega.

What follows is Lin’s initiation into a pack of weres that need the lightheartedness that Lin will bring to their Alpha and their pack.  Stay is a beautifully written book about true love, the strong bond of both family and mates, and loyalty between friends and packs.  The authors descriptions of this interesting were who is Alpha through and through yet in the bedroom likes to be topped are both sexually explosive and gripping.  This book will leave you hot, sweaty, and looking for your significant other.  You can’t help but fall in love with the world that Treva Harte has created and root for the success of these interesting creatures.  Alpha 2: Stay is the sequel to Walk Away.  I highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys some suspense along with their erotica.
