Baring It All

Christina Crooks puts a unique twist to the traditional female sub/male Dom relationship in her first novella, Baring It All.  I liked both Lizbeth and Ro’s characters.  Lizbeth approaches Ro with a curiosity to see if she can become more dominant with the people and animals in her life.  Ro is jaded towards life and is instantly attracted to her open honesty.   In Ro’s eyes, Lizbeth is a challenge for this BDSM club owner who feels she will only flower with the right dominant.  These two are great together as under Ro’s domination, Lizbeth finds strength of character she’s never felt before as she visits his club for some specialized loving. Fueled by Lizbeth’s new insights, Ro finally stands up for himself with his family enabling him to have a meaningful relationship with her.  

Forbidden Heat  

As Nora Sabine travels with her boyfriend for a long needed weekend away from her work, she wonders why she ever told Ryan about her most secret fantasy.  Deciding to give Ryan a chance, she walks through the kinky B & B known as Twisted Wood, and is shocked by what she sees within its walls.  Feeling utterly betrayed once she finds out Ryan has filled out a questionnaire with not only her secret fantasy but other kinky preferences, will she stay at this B & B and discover she’s kinkier then she thought? 

While I enjoyed Christina Crooks’ first novella, I really enjoyed and highly recommend every word in Forbidden Heat for those of you who love a BDSM story that keeps you on your toes with its fast pacing and uniquely erotic scenes. Wondering what got into Ryan’s mind for thinking she’d enjoy coming to this Bondage and Breakfast; Nora is set on leaving Ryan and this kinky establishment forever.   At this point, Ms. Crooks adds an interesting plot twist by turning the tables on Ryan, letting him undergo all he thought Nora would enjoy!  This leaves Nora unattached and o so irresistible to the other Doms who give Nora quite an education in erotic pain and electricity play. Will she ever catch Sylvester, Twisted Wood owner’s eye?  You will have to find the answer to this question yourself as you savor Sylvester’s deep dark secrets which unfold in Forbidden Heat, making you wish you booked a visit at his erotic Bondage and Breakfast!
