Rowan suffers from a life that's gone almost instantly from dull to worse, and self-esteem problems and a serious sense of inadequacy. The only positive is her dream of a beautiful amber-eyed man, but unfortunately, that was interrupted by real life's constant intrusions. On a space ship that same individual has been dreaming of Rowan. Laithe is a shifter and leader of a pride. He senses this female must be his mate because only to his mate could he connect mentally as he does with this one. Laithe is a member of a pride of Felidae, which include various feline clans similar to lions, tigers, lynx, and other big feline species. To them, Earth is simply an outlying planet not visited for quite some time. Now Laithe is empathetically experiencing the pain Rowan is enduring at the dentist's and is determined to rescue her from her attackers and make her his mate. The Felidae: Laithe's Pride is an intriguing short story and commencement of a new series, which puts a new spin on shape shifting. Jade Buchanan demonstrates quite a vivid imagination and the reader will be immediately caught up with the characters and their passions and imaginations. Passion sizzles, but romance rules, and the variety of characters in this mix will definitely capture and keep the reader's attention. This reviewer is eagerly anticipating the next in The Felidae. |
