Colin Dobson is only interested in ending it all. To make sure he doesn’t fail in his suicide attempt, he combines alcohol, sleeping pills, a slashed wrist, and is standing at the edge of a hundred-foot drop. He releases his hold on both sanity and hope, tipping over the edge into eternity. Rowland Campbell is only trying to save himself when his path and Colin’s crosses. Gravely injured, the vampire is a dangerous foe and Colin may have to fight for salvation. Having Rowland in his life complicates everything. The vampire’s presence could be the hope Colin needs to fight his demons. Will his salvation be life or death, immortality, or a quick and brutal end? This is a fascinating book about second chances, redemption, and the healing power of love. Laura Baumbach writes characters that I cannot help but care about and brings forth intense emotion in all her books. Colin and Rowland are fascinating characters that more than carry this book and their love affair is both sweet and carnal at the same time. Enthralled did more than enthrall me, it left me speechless and in awe of Ms. Baumbach’s talent for characterization and storytelling. |
