Warning: Story contains violence, gore and the brutality of personal sacrifice, and may not be for the faint of heart. Gregor Korridian wants revenge, starting with the House of Leah, but knows it will be a long and drawn out process requiring much patience. Time and patience are two things he has in abundance. Katriel Saguna is a descendant of a race once labeled bloodhunters. As heir to the House of Leah, it will be her responsibility to care for her people and provide protection as well as meet their basic needs. In order to be successful, she must bond with her Alpha Predom, so that she can come into her full power and he will in turn, help her to control them by grounding her passionate nature. Valyn of Illumata is an apprentice of the Eclipsian Order. When he first met Katriel, seven years ago, he vowed to claim her. For the past seven years his life has been dedicated to fulfilling his vow. When he is selected to be her Alpha Predom, her primary protector, all of this hopes and dreams are realized. His life and his life’s blood are for her and her alone. Something or someone is threatening his mate and he’ll do anything to protect her. It is sometimes difficult to describe a book that contains so much. I’ll start by saying that Zytarri 1: Virgin Blood is a definite must-read. Adrianna Dane is a master at world building and what she’s created with Zytarri 1: Virgin Blood is phenomenal. From the beginning, I was ensconced in a world full of valor, honor, love, and deep passion. Of ruling houses and evil entities focused on destruction. Of sadness and grief and the beauty of sacrifice. The depth of understanding shared by Katriel and Valyn as well as between Leona and Noah is amazing. The way that Ms. Dane brings these characters to life is done so powerfully that you’ll remember them for a long time to come. The end of Zytarri 1: Virgin Blood is just the beginning and will undoubtedly be an amazing new series from Adrianna Dane.
