The year is 3032. Amelia was on Miramar Colony where she worked and lived. She was just getting a drink in her own house when a man points a laser gun at her. He says he wants to hire her. She thinks his method of hiring leaves a lot to be desired. Gabriel has nothing left but his life to lose. He needs something only Dr Amelia Chase has, but she has to agree first to give it to him. But what he did not count on was feeling attracted to the good doctor. Now with everything on the line, he must get her to help him before it is too late. Blood Debts by Alianne Donnelly is the third book in the Blood series. I felt this book could be read as a standalone. I have never read this series before and I was completely immersed in this story and wanted to know more. Gabriel is a desperate man taking desperate measures to ensure he lives. He needs Amelia willing and co operating. Holding her hostage in her own home might have gotten him off to a rocky start but Amelia has a good heart and she wants to help him. He just doesn’t know he has the wrong person to help him. She feels an attraction to him she cannot deny. I liked that Amelia is strong and can think on her feet. She is not going to be pushed around by anyone. She is very smart and figures things out fast. There is great character connection and love in this story. I was sorry to see it end. I look forward to more in the Blood series in the future. |
