Heather is sailing with her new husband to her homeland Jamaica when their ship is attacked by pirates.  Her husband is killed in the ensuing fight and the remaining men of the ship are given the choice to die at sea or join the pirate’s crew.  Heather disguises herself as a young cabin boy and joins the crew to avoid being raped by the pirates.

Captain Adam Langworth realizes there is something strange about the cabin boy he has serving him and soon discovers he is not a he.  He promises Heather he will not let the crew have their way with her and vows to protect her.  When his crew finds out he has betrayed them by keeping a woman on board, which is believed to be bad luck, the crew decide to follow the pirate code of marooning the captain and his wench.  Now the Captain and Heather are marooned on a tiny island with only two jugs of water, a pistol and their wits to keep them alive in the middle of the ocean.

Marooned by Lyndi Lamont will lead you down a path filled with thrills and chills, excitement, and sex.  The detail she gives the characters bring them to life.  The greed and cruelty of the pirates, the loving gentleness of the Captain, the descriptions of the ships and the battles will make you feel like the events are unfolding in front of you like a play.  If you like pirate stories you will not be disappointed by picking up a copy of Marooned.
