Benji is suffering from both kidney and pancreas failure. He is waiting on the organ transplant list for both. Every week, Ollie, a cute skater boy with purple hair delivers all of his porn. Benji is attracted to Olli and would like to begin a romance with the younger man but he feels he is too old and too sickly. When Ollie starts flirting with Benji, Benji doesn’t know how to flirt back even though he wants to. 

When Benji is successful in getting his transplants, Ollie stands by him and the two men begin a romance. Only Ollie has secrets and a past he must get over. Will Benji be able to help Ollie as much as Ollie has helped him? Will these two men be able to find their happily ever after together? 

Handle with Care by Josephine Myles is a truly beautiful story about opposites being attracted to each other. Ollie is a young man who has many odd jobs.  At first you think that is all there is to him but once the author starts to peel back all of the layers of Ollie’s personality you realize there is so much more to him. It’s a crucial part of this love story.   

When we first meet Benji he is very sick and is almost dying. He has fears and a lot of doubts, which is to be expected with a man in his situation. Yet, Benji still manages to retain his likeability and love. He is the perfect match for Ollie, if he’s given a chance. 

Both of these men have something the other needs desperately. They are so much more together than they are apart. I fell in love with both of these men and the only sad thing is that the story had to end. I could have gone on reading about Benji and Ollie and their relationship forever. I would have been very happy to do that.
