When Elena is attacked, drugged, she finds herself in the water, unable to stay afloat, the cold water will most become her grave.  She wants to fight and struggle, but she’s just too exhausted to work through her drugged exhaustion.  She seems destined to die.

Then, someone, something she can’t even comprehend comes to her rescue. Could he really be a mythical creature come just to save her?  She’s intensely attracted to this being and just cannot stay away from him.

This Sea Sentinel is called Danael and he brings her to new sexual heights. He is different in many ways from mortal men and is sworn to protect the seas.  How can they possibly make a relationship work?

From The Waters is such an interesting take on sea guardians.  I enjoyed the way the author brought forth the information so slowly, spoon-feeding the enchanted reader more information.  In this manner, I was able to deeply identify with Elena.  While From The Waters isn’t a typical superhero book, it stands out in its uniqueness.
