Caleb is gay and is in a committed relationship with Tarkan, a Turkish man, who is in the military. Tarkan plans to come to the United States and live with Caleb when his tour of duty is up. They had met on a Blue Cruise. When Ankara is hit by terrorists, and his lover Tarkan dies, Caleb thinks his life is over. Two years later Emre books Caleb on Blue Cruise, where he had first met Tarkan. At first, Caleb doesn’t want to, especially knowing they booked him a one night stand for the cruise. But Caleb decides to go ahead on the cruise and meets Adam Broussard, another Turkish man. Can he risk his heart again? Blue Cruise by Liz Crow is the second book in her Turkish Delights series and is also the fifty-seventh book in the 1 Night Stand series. You don’t need to follow either of these series in order to be able to read and enjoy this book. I found Blue Cruise to be a bittersweet love story I couldn’t put down. The amount of caring, love, and heart, and soul in this book filled me with joy. I really enjoyed reading about Caleb’s journey to love after his loss. This is the first book I’ve read by Liz Crowe, and I’ll definitely be looking for more of her work in the future. |
