Martin is a Marine who has been assigned to work the drop off location at the local mall for the Marine Toy Drive. His post gives him a view of Santa’s Village and the new Santa. This year’s Santa is hunky and a definite improvement. Martin and Santa spend a lot of time checking each other out. Has Martin been good enough to receive a special gift from Santa? I was left scratching my head after reading Secret Santa by Rebecca Leigh. Martin and Santa didn’t really interact with each other than one sex scene and a scene when Martin learns Santa’s secret. They spend most of their time staring at one another across the department store. This made it hard for me to connect with Martin or Santa. While I didn’t dislike the book, I didn’t particularly enjoy it either; it’s not a book I would re-read. |
