Sepharian is an ancient dragon, but not of such ancient lineage as to be winged. The winged nature had long since mutated to the half-human, half-dragon mode of which Sepharian is one. He owns a gem store, and he and his female employees hold auctions of the rare and very desired by dragons essence from male princesses. When the young Nathaniel comes into his purview, Sepharian’s long-dormant gay instincts awaken and he is almost as skittish as an adolescent while in the boy’s presence. Sepharian’s group need to acquire Nathaniel before the knights find him, but that perrogative wars with Sepharian’s desire to possess the young man. The Collectors is a short tale with an intriguing twist and a really different outlook on dragon legend. This concept would make an interesting series using other characters from the story, both dragons and their opposition, the knights. Camilla Bruce demonstrates quite an intriguing imaginative quirk. |
