Eva is able to shift into a werewolf since she was attacked by one. She is able to save a handsome shapeshifter from a similar attack. Eva doesn’t know his real identity is Smoke, and that he’s a Sidhe warrior. He’d been attacked by Warlock, the magic-imbued leader of a cult of werewolf assassins, who’ve been trained to destroy all others. Will Eva and Smoke’s love for one another be enough for them to survive a war igniting between all of the immortals in the Mageverse? Master of Smoke is the 11th installment to the Mageverse series by Angela Knight. I couldn’t wait for this book to be released and was not disappointed in the story. When we last left Smoke, he was in a bit of a bind. Now he gets his own story and his own woman to love. A lot of questions get answered. But one word of caution; this is not a standalone novel; you will want to read the previous books in the series in order to get a real feel for Smoke’s plight. I like that the woman he loves is strong, independent and a little dangerous herself. Eva is not a woman to be messed with. Smoke is a pure fighter too, often you don’t think of the Side has big fighters but Smoke proves they are the most clever and strongest in that department. I loved the humor sprinkled throughout the book, it makes this action packed story that much more memorable to read. I love the Mageverse universe and can’t wait to read the next book in the series. Ms. Knight can’t write these novels fast enough for me! |
