Giada Shepard is a chemist and an immortal witch with magical powers. Her latest assignment comes from King Arthur himself. Protect his son Logan MacRoy. Logan is mortal and refuses to have The Gift bestowed upon him. Giada is not to sleep with him; she is to protect him only. Logan is a forensic chemist. He investigates drug crimes, arsons and bombings. If he knew who Giada was, he would refuse her help. He likes to survive on his own, without the help of his powerful father. When Giada and Logan team up to catch a bomber, their sexual chemistry ingnites. Logan wants Giada, but she is scared he would change his mind about that if he knew that having sex with her would turn him into what he has always feared - a vampire. But turning Logan might be the only hope mankind and magi kind have as there is nothing more powerful than the magic of love to defeat evil. Angela Knight brings us back to the Mageverse series with Master of Fire. I personally love this series. I am always ready to pick up the newest installment, and this one doesn’t disappoint. There is action, drama, love and magic in Master of Fire. Logan has seen the down side of The Gift and doesn’t want to take a chance on it. He likes being mortal and doesn’t see a need to change that. That is, until a sexy witch named Giada temps him. She is a modest witch. She doesn’t have a lot of power, but she is fairly new to being a witch. She has her orders and is trying to follow them, but that no sex rule is really hard to follow when the man you’re guarding is as sexy as Logan. Can he protect her from his father if she breaks that rule? In Master of Fire, we get to see a lot of old faces. Even Morgana makes an appearance. I do recommend reading these books in order as this story has built for many books. You won't completely understand the “bad guys” if you don’t read the previous books. They are all amazing reads and are on my personal keeper shelf. I am thrilled I got to review Master of Fire. I look forward to the next installment to the Mageverse series as I really want to find out now what is happening to Smoke, along with all the other characters of Mageverse. |
