Brianna is a wonderful mix of sweet innocence and sexy siren. Colton’s struggle between the desire that Brianna elicits in him and his respective duty as a gentleman is both intriguing and exciting. Together they are a delightful combination as well as a very endearing couple. Mercenary Desires by Jane Leopold Quinn 5 kisses Warning: Story contains violence against women. Rowdy Pierce has spent his adult life, rescuing people. He's never gotten involved with anyone he's rescued but try as he might, he can't control his attraction to Sara. When Sara Stewart is rescued from rape by a man with wild grey hair and beard, wearing an eye patch, she doesn’t know if she should be relieved or worry that he wants to take the rapist's place. This was the first piece that I have read written by Jane Leopold Quinn and it DEFINITELY won’t be the last. From the non-stop action to the hot love scenes, I was absolutely riveted. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and believe you will too! Concealed Weapon by Barri Bryan This sexy short poem was very clever and had me laughing out loud at the images it evoked! It's a wonderful addition to this anthology. Chocolate at Midnight by Susan M. Sailors 4 kisses After getting out of a bad relationship, Christine didn’t see the obvious signs of Erik’s attraction to her until he plans a special night for the two of them. Sometimes it’s a lot more fun to have dessert before dinner… Chocolate by Midnight is a touching little tale about how one might miss what’s right in front of their eyes and how sweet and understanding that love can be. Red Willow by Louise Bohmer 4.5 kisses When Willow comes to town, the sexy redhead becomes the center of Jamie’s fantasies. When she seduces him, his body reacts swiftly and his heart quickly follows. Then comes the time for Willow to leave… Red Willow is an emotion-filled story about two people falling in love and having to face their obligations and follow their dreams. The loves scenes were sexy and since it's told by Jamie, in the first person point-of-view, very hot. The connection between Jamie and Willow was immediate and intense so I had mixed emotions’ regarding their time spent apart but was delighted with the ending. Louise Bohmer has penned a sweet and mature story that is a wonderful addition to the LUST Anthology. Hope Finds Hope by Lois Wencil 3 Kisses After the death of her son and then her subsequent divorce, Hope loses interest in everything but the rush of orgasm. A momentary release from her pain and sadness by the sweet rush of physical pleasure, while fleeting, is all she has left to feel. Hope Finds Hope is well written and while I appreciate the depth Lois Wencil gave to this story, the incredulity of the details was distracting, so I was unable to really enjoy it. I would be interested in reading more work by this author simply because storyline was compelling. Taming Thera by Cheri Valmont 4.5 Kisses Due to her sister’s death, Thera Perceval is being forced to marry Kathryn’s betrothed. She is none too happy and is determined to fight the match in any way necessary. She knows nothing about how to be a woman and a wife, much preferring to hear battle stories. When her betrothed sends someone to teach her, the most unexpected of things happens… Renulf de Meurtes, Earl of Moncliff, simply wants to claim his bride. He is a warrior and has no use for finery. He wants a wife because it’s past time for him to produce an heir and he hopes that in her arms, he might begin to forget the horrors of war. In order to get to know the woman with whom he will be married, he poses as a tutor sent to teach her the finer arts… Renulf is a sexy, intriguing character that is like a puzzle you want to solve. Thera was endearing as well. Cheri Valmont’s grasp of the language of the time period is amazing and so I was immediately drawn into Taming Thera. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and will definitely be watching for more releases from Cheri Valmont! Moving Day by Jamie Hill 4 Kisses Denise Evans is a nice girl. Since she’s very shy, she doesn’t date much and relegates herself to creating fantasies about men she sees in passing. When a moving truck pulls up, she discovers that one of the movers is definite fantasy material. After she realizes that the sexy mover is actually her new neighbor, she decides to take him a house-warming gift… Moving Day is a fast-paced romp complete with likable characters, sexy love scenes, chocolate chip cookies and beer – all the ingredients for a good time! I enjoyed this short story and think it would be wonderful as a longer novel. Lust by Barri Bryan Lust is a poignant well-written and beautifully timed poem that I enjoyed reading and reread several times. Secret Birthday Wishes by Kristina Diesen 5 Kisses When Aiden Raab finds a crumpled piece of paper listing Taylor’s birthday wishes, each wish on the list surpasses the previous one with its shock factor. He wasn’t sure what to get his girlfriend for her birthday but now has a pretty good idea…will his best friend, Trent, agree? Yowsa! This is my first piece by Kristina Diesen but it will definitely not be my last! Her writing is very smooth and as erotic as anything I’ve ever read. The storyline is exciting and the bond between Aiden and Taylor is sure and strong. The ending is simply beautiful. Secret Birthday Wishes will definitely leave you wishing for more from this talented author! When the Wolves Whisper by Brenda Williamson 5 Kisses Nikita travels into the woods, to her late grandfather’s property with the intent of selling the land. When she’s rescued from a wolf attack by a sexy shifter, she feels an immediate bond with this stranger and is comforted by his presence. She’s been missing something her entire life, something essential to her nature and he’s the one that can provide it… Trevor has been in love with the woman in a picture, Nikita, for ten years. When her grandfather dies, he sends a letter telling her that it’s time to come home. Every instinct he has tells him to mate with her immediately but he’s determined to wait and not give into the animal inside him, clawing for release… The chemistry between Nikita and Trevor is sensational! Not only is the sexual tension tangible but their repartee is fast-paced and fun. Trevor is unbelievably sexy so it’s no wonder Nikita succumbs to his seduction. There were a couple of times that I questioned Trevor’s responses being those of a pack leader but that was most likely because of the introduction of some new pack dynamics. Brenda Williamson is an ingenious writer with a flare for creating interesting new dynamics in her stories. The LUST Anthology is a collection of wonderful stories and poems that I really enjoyed reading. Whatever your pleasure, this compilation has something for everyone and is bound to entertain you and keep you satisfied.
