Under ordinary circumstances, Jasmine is a reticent, shy woman with simple tastes.  Because of the jealous witch Desiree, Jasmine has become a wanton whenever the yearning arouses her lust.  She seeks out men who can who can ease her yearning, if just for a little while to allow her some reprieve and peace from Desiree’s spell.  Then one night she finds Mike Stearn, with his Native American good looks and eagle tattoo.  He’s a former United States Marshall who not only quiets the yearning longer than any other man, but he makes her feel cherished.  Afraid he might leave her, she plans to keep him captive with the help of her sisters and a friend to sooth her yearning until it slowly kills her.

Like your favorite mixed drink, The Yearning is the perfect blend of unbridled sex and sweet tenderness.  The subtle detail that defines the timid Jasmine, trapped beneath the curse-driven sex goddess, demonstrates the refined writing skills of Tina Donahue.  The paranormal elements of The Yearning are made believable by her creation of characters that are driven by conflict and emotion, making The Yearning a must read.
