| | | Tyler is torn between helping his very ill father and making their hotel business work. The hotel has reached crisis point and very little seems to be able to save the business, a source of family pride over the years. In a last ditch effort, Tyler puts his time and energy toward a new venture in the hotel. He manages to book some A-list entertainment and there seems to be a renewed hope. When Johnnie, sexy lead singer for a rock band, catches Tyler’s eye, he can’t imagine that the celebrity is actually interested. But he’s wrong in his assessment. Johnnie is indeed very interested! Heaven is a great (and spicy!) book, but I felt the characterization fell a little short. Johnnie and Tyler bonded immediately on a celebrity/fan level and this took away from Tyler’s persona as someone very much in charge of a large business like a hotel. Despite this foible, the book enchanted me and I can’t wait to see what Jet Mykles has in store for us in the future! |
