Stephan Lazos, alpha werewolf and DEA agent, is under cover as a dangerous arms dealer when he meets his mate. She is dancing at the club owned by the drug lord, and he knows she is his, but how can he claim her when he is pretending to be a badass arms dealer? Marisol Cabrera is after one thing and that is revenge for her pack that was destroyed. She believes Stephan is working for the man she wants to kill. She is hoping if she gets close to Stephan, she can get closer to avenging her pack. But when the mating pull takes over, Marisol is torn between revenge and love. How can she love the very people who destroyed her pack? Will Stephan’s secret drive his mate away forever and get them both killed? Or can he trust her with the truth before it is too late? Worth the Risk by Savannah Stewart is the second installment to the Miami Scorcher series. It will keep you glued to the pages, reading voraciously to find out what happens next to Marisol and Stephan. The layers to these characters made me want to find out more and more about this vibrant couple. Marisol's entire pack was wiped out before her eyes. She has some very deep scars from this horrendous event and wants to avenge her family. Stephan is trying to balance being a good guy in a bad guy world. He wants to take down the drug lord and put a stop to his reign of terror, but one chance meeting and the best laid plans can be turned upside down. I was so drawn in by Marisol and Stephan. Their first meeting is so believable, you feel like their souls have known each other for a very long time. This is part of series, but can be read alone and enjoyed completely. When you're in the mood for reading about sexy werewolves and enjoying a great action-adventure book, look to Worth the Risk to fulfill your needs. |
