Len has always known there was something special about Cliff. Even when Cliff married his best friend Ruby, he remained the best friend a girl could have. Rudy alone knew his secret, one he didn’t want Cliff to know. Yet when he thought of Cliff he was yanked back to high school years and the after party in Cliff’s back yard.Through the years he and Ruby remained close, meeting whenever life didn’t get in the way. He adored Geoff, the one part of Ruby and Cliff he could share. Never would he imagine reading something that would change his life forever.

Cliff couldn’t deal with life, or his son Geoff. His farm became the least of his worries. He didn’t care, not enough to climb out of the grief consuming him. When Len came to work for him he never thought he’d be put in his place or that he’d find something to look forward to with each given day. Somehow a healing began and life gave him a second outlook. He learned how to be a father all over again, taking joy in his son. Through Len he embraced a man he’d wanted even in young tender years.

Love Means Courage by Andrew Grey brought tears to my eyes. I couldn’t imagine keeping how I felt about someone secret for years, and watching them marry and develop a family before my eyes. It warmed my soul to see that even in the death of Len’s best friend, he had the better part of her in the child she and Cliff shared. This story to me was about second chances, and being brave enough in taking what you need despite public view or belief. The passion shared between Cliff and Len is the type that beyond death would still stand strong. Infiniti. I’d recommend this read to any number of readers.
