| Danny and Neil are having issues - and that's putting it mildly. Neil’s professional life is taking off while Danny takes care of things on the home front. Communication has dwindled, leaving Neil confused, worried and thinking Danny is fantasizing of someone else. While on the flip side, Danny enjoyed taking care of his man but he just wanted more, something different, and hadn’t found a way to verbalize or how to make it happen. Insecurity and self-doubt weighed heavily on him until a tense argument gave him the opportunity to make his demands. Apron Strings by Jaime Samms was a delightful short read. It showed how open communication channels in a long-standing relationship are still needed. I fully sympathized with both Neil and Danny in their awkward stage of figuring out how to stay together and make it work. My heart thudded happily when the couple worked it out. I enjoyed the read and would recommend it to others. I look forward to reading more work by Jamie Samms. |
