When Cactus Mackey saves the beautiful Sarah Farmer from a pack of rival werewolves, he knows she is his mate. Sarah is full of secrets. She and her twin sister are running from a terror only they know. Her twin is unconscious and doing odd paranormal things in her unconscious state. Sarah has to protect her. And she takes her job as her sister's protector seriously. Now Cactus must protect his mate from both dangers he knows about and from those he doesn’t know about. Sarah has never been as safe as she feels on the Wolf Creek Ranch. Can she open up to Cactus before it is too late? This is book four of the High Plains Shifters series and by far the best. Regina Carlysle has her sexiest hero yet in Cactus Mackey. Edge of Nowhere had me wanting more and more of this novel at page one. Cactus is tall, blonde and alpha. He protects what is his and he considers Sarah very much HIS. He lives with his brothers on the Wolf Creek Ranch. From the moment he lays eyes on Sarah he knows who she is. Now he has to convince her with everything in him to stay with him and trust him with her secrets. Sarah has always taken care of her sister. She is used to being the one that protects and defends. No push over, she is a curvy blonde with attitude. I loved that she doesn’t need to be saved; she can save Cactus. Her powers are amazing, but you'll have to read the book to see for yourself. What I loved most about this story was how invested I felt in the characters. I truly loved Sarah and was rooting for her the entire time. Cactus is strong and memorable, and you'll want to see more of his brothers in upcoming books as well. The emotional intensity is very memorable in Edge of Nowhere. If you want your shifters sexy, strong and heart-breakingly sweet, you'll want to read Edge of Nowhere. It's one for your keeper shelf. |
