Haunted by dreams of a man from the past, filled with stories by her grandmother and a brooch with a lock of dark hair, Erin Branigan slips off a lonely road one rainy night and wakes up in a Confederate Army camp in the middle of the Civil War.  Others seem to know her as Mrs. Erin O’Connell the laundress, and to some, the Yankee Spy.  When she meets Captain Will Montgomery, she knows that he is the man in her dreams.  Being an investigative reporter, Erin is used to digging for the facts and learns that Will is her one true love, but she lost him because she made a mistake in the past.  Time and circumstances are working against her as she tries to figure out how she’s ever going to correct the error made so long ago.
