He believes in honor and has a kind, generous heart. However, he must put all of that on the line when he’s accused of treason and must find a way to warn the King of an assassination plot. Terrwyn is a proud and feisty Welsh maiden who detests the English, who took her brother years ago. Lately, she’s been having visions that he is still alive and Terrwyn becomes determined to join the King’s army as an archer and find her brother. Instead she finds herself shackled to her sworn enemy. Terrwyn and James find themselves thrown together due to circumstances beyond their control. However, they find that they don’t really mind being stuck together. They both have secrets they aren’t willing to trust the other with, but they can’t stop their growing attraction even though they don’t always see eye to eye. Will their love be enough to overcome their differences? In C.C. Wiley’s book, Knight Dreams, you are drawn in right from the beginning. The plot keeps moving along with action and intrigue, and her writing makes you feel as if you are right there. There were a lot of various characters introduced throughout the book, which made for some interesting and mysterious sub-plots. I thought the relationship between Terrwyn and James developed rather quickly, but Ms. Wiley does a good job of bringing out their personalities and by the end I felt as if I really got to know them. Knight Dreams is a great start to what promises to be an exciting new series. |
