Wings to Fly by Beate Boeker is a story of becoming independent for Cathy. Cathy has decided she needs to leave home and become independent. While on her way to a job interview in Seattle, she has an auto accident. While spending time with Mick, the other person involved in the accident, she and Mick realize they could fall in love. But Cathy wants to be independent, and with her brother always ready to plant doubts in her mind, Cathy and Mick’s relationship seems to fizzle.
