Fire Season is he third book in the Tales of the Darkworld series and one of the hottest Lex Valentine has written. I love the emotion and draw this novel has. I love how Holden and Garret deal with the issues, they might be mates but they have issues. They deal with them, it is not about the sex - it is about the knowing and I for one really appreciated that it made the characters that much more real for me. Holden has always been heterosexual,but he tends to be a cad with women though. Use them and dispose o them seems to be his view. Garret believes love is what you are feeling for the person your with, not based on the gender of the person. He really has a beautiful view of life that was really great to read. When these two men get together there is such chemistry I think my fingers were scorched reading this one! When you want a very well written novel that has the emotional pull of true romance you want Fire Season. Though this novel is third in a series it can be read alone and really enjoyed to its fullest. I would suggest, because Lex Valentine has such real talent as a writer, to read this series in order as you really will have some great reading ahead of you.
