Sapphire and Aries are psychic twins, who feel as if they have to protect themselves from the world. Adam is a reporter who has heard rumors about the physic twins and plans to write a story about them....but then fate intervenes. Sapphire is walking along in her woods, and finds a man that is out cold, when he awakens, he doesn't remember who he is. Sapphire is so tired of living her life in isolation that she decides to take the man to her home and care for him. Even though there is an instant attraction between Adam and Sapphire, Adam chooses to wait until his memory comes back to start a sexual relationship with Sapphire. He wants to come to her a whole man. When Adam’s memory does come back, the turbulent passions between Adam and Sapphire is amazing.

Sapphire is fairly inexperienced in the sexual department, and the things Adam teaches her are a revelation, to Sapphire and to myself. Ms. Rainey adds a little light BDSM in this story with some scarf play and a little outdoors love play on a picnic that I found very erotic. Adam catches Sapphire using her powers, and she decides to tell him all. But what Sapphire doesn't know is that Adam is a reporter and he is there to write about her brother, Aries and her powers. Sapphire has unknowingly handed Adam the story that he has come for, the question now is, will Adam go ahead and write the story, even though he has come to care for Sapphire? Or will his heart change his mind?

Anne Rainey writes an amazing story in Turbulent Passions and it moved me so emotionally. I felt as if I were there with them, from the laughter and the tears, to the passion that is off the charts. I love the fact that Adam is a somewhat aggressive lover and that he pushes the boundaries of what we call ‘normal’. The slight BDSM in this story is so erotic and passionate that I found myself wanting to try it too. This is a wonderfully written story and I hope we haven't heard the last of Adam and Sapphire, I am truly hoping Ms. Rainey is planning to write Aries’ story and will add more of Adam's and Sapphire's lives into it.
