Valerie is a smart, successful business woman. She has a great job, stable income and a loving cat named Thor. What she doesn’t have is a meaningful relationship. She doesn’t want just sex, but something that will fulfill her life. Valerie wants that spine tingling, make your heart race, love. But where on earth would she ever find something that wonderful? Magni, the mighty Thor’s son, has grieved five hundred years for his lost love. His parents think it’s time for him to move on and they have chosen just the right woman for him to do this with. An invitation to a magical ball held by the Gods, a beautiful wardrobe created just for her and her own special elf to help her get ready for the evenings, how could Valerie refuse? Will fate be kind to the two lovers that are destined to cross paths? Or will Loki interfere and prevent them from finding true love with each other? Angela Skaggs Valkyrie is a charming short story of love at first sight. My only complaint would be that Skaggs introduces some back-story of Magni’s lost love and I wish she would have explored that a little more. I think it would have given the instant attraction Magni felt for Valerie more depth. Valkyrie does have a good plot that makes you believe in love at first sight against all odds again. |
