Turner and Turner by Amber Green Kendall Turner has always lived in the shadows. He is quiet, unassuming, and likes it like that. When he is dragged into his father’s office because of a black mailing scheme and a sex tape with him on it, he is not happy. Now his parents want to stick him in a place to “cure” him of being gay. Kendall has been confined before and he is not doing it again for any reason, so he flees. But the one person who follows him, he doesn’t expect. Turner Scott has been in Kendall’s dreams since they were teenagers. He is the son of his father’s brother, but he has always been the staring fantasy for Kendall. But Turner has also always been his father’s favorite, thus making him off limits. Now he finds Turner to be the only one on his side, and finds out many things about himself and Turner that were not what they seemed. Now there is someone trying to frame Kendall for murder as well. Can the two men find the real killer and find love with each other? Turner and Turner is one read you should not miss. I loved the blend of romance and suspense that Amber Green brings to Turner and Turner. There is not a dull moment in this story. It is packed from page one and doesn’t let you go. Kendall is a professor and kind of nerdy. He is comfortable being the family’s black sheep. That is until his family turns on him and tries to commit him for being gay. Turner has always been the golden child. He does what he should and even dropping out of the family for three years has not tarnished his golden status in the family’s eyes. Turner has been a member of the family for as long as he can remember. He has loyalty but sees Kendall’s father for what he really is. He doesn’t trust the man at all. He will do anything to protect Kendall. Turner and Turner is one read you should not miss! Don’t blink while you are reading this one you will miss something important! The Men of Smithfield Gobsmacked by LB Gregg Mark Meehan marched into church one day smacked his unfaithful lover upside the head with a bible, and started more trouble then he knew. He was ticked his lover Jamie had been caught cheating on him in his own bed! So Mark thinks perfect revenge is to get rid of all of Jamie’s things. Only Jamie turns out to be more than a cheater, he is also a thief. Now Mark finds himself in need of an old friend, Tony Geruase, the local police officer he has had a crush on since childhood. Tony is everything Mark wants but Tony has rejected him before. Now he needs Tony to save him from a demented ex-lover before it’s too late and he ends up dead. LB Gregg weaves a tale of betrayal and love found again. I loved the character of Mark. He is impetuous and brave at the same time. He does the most reckless things for the right reasons. I loved how he decided to get even with Jamie. I couldn’t stop laughing! I was cheering for him the entire time! Go Mark!! Tony is a steadfast cop. He is a neat freak to the extreme, and is never impetuous. But he is PERFECT for Mark. He is the stabilizing force in their relationship. I really enjoyed this story and look for many more by LB Gregg in the future. Smartass: Close Quarters is a wonderful memorable read.
