Lilly’s lifelong desire has been to visit Stonehenge, a dream she never hoped could come true. An American history teacher who has always been drawn to sacred sites of all stripes, Lilly found herself magnetized to the ancient ruins at Stonehenge from the moment of seeing a photograph. Lilly, now in her forties, has saved and scrimped for years, and is finally touring the sacred spots of Great Britain via an “Among the Stones Tour.” At last, Stonehenge is about to become real to Lilly, much more so than she could ever have expected. Lucky Lilly is part of a tour that allows actual entrance onto the site, so that the experience becomes so much more profound. For Lilly, the moment becomes more profound than seems possible, for standing between two of the stones, she relives a Stonehenge so far into the past as to be almost prehistoric, a time in which she discovered, and lost, true love. Lizzie T. Leaf provides a terrifying powerful tale of déjà vu, which affected me so strongly that I had chills even after reading it. Not one to usually be this strongly affected, I actually cried during certain scenes. Few readers will not be touched and provoked to thought by Among the Stones. It promises to be only the first in a series, and personally I can’t wait for the next installment. Lizzie T. Leaf has taken a place on my Authors-must-read list. Take this reviewer’s recommendation and race immediately for Among the Stones!
