Carson Scott is one wild and hot Navy Seal. He is the epitome of bad boy; lots of one night stands, wild sex and no commitment kinda guy. That’s all about to change in a moment of passion, in a utility closet, of all places. When she darts out of his life after the hot tryst, he goes on a mission to find her. But hunting her down could prove just as dangerous as foiling terrorists and while he may not lose his life, his heart is going to wind up prisoner. Holly Lawson is the straight laced one in her family. After her mother died it was up to her to keep everyone’s lives in order. Unfortunately her life took a backseat. When she is dumped by her boyfriend over the family situation, she goes out looking for a night to just let loose. She sees a group of the sexiest men and decides to listen in on their conversation. What she hears sets her on fire and she decides to get her world rocked by one of them. After their hot fling, Carson can’t stop thinking about Holly. He no longer wants useless relationships and one night stands. He decides he wants to try to make this long term. Holly, on the other hand, decides she isn’t so good at the relationship part and just wants a fling. Can Carson get Holly to give him more than just a passionate fling, or will he have to walk away from her heartbroken? Is Holly willing to put her family second or will she let Carson go and never look back? Heat of Passion by Elle Kennedy is one sexy book. Is there anything sexier than a man in uniform? I had no idea this was part two of the Out of Uniform/Heat series, not that it’s necessary to read part one first, but wow! Now I have to go play catch up. Characters are very well written, and there is some great world building going on in this novel. I really hope Ms. Kennedy continues this line. |
