The Duke of Wallingford meets with Lord Thomas Collins and presents him with an interesting proposition.  The Duke knows Thomas has tutored females in the fine arts of lovemaking and wants him to use his skills, training his fiancée. Thomas is intrigued with his proposal, but admits he’s never tutored a virgin before.  The Duke assures Thomas he just wants Catherine gentled to a lover’s touch, and be eager to respond to his lovemaking, virginity intact.  What will happen between these two as Thomas embarks upon tutoring Catherine in the ways of love?

Restraint is a delectable tale of Victorian England.  From the moment young Catherine is brought into Thomas’ house, she’s blindfolded and often restrained. Thomas quickly falls in love with Catherine but knows she’ll never be his.  He’s aware of the Duke’s sadistic nature and vows to prepare her in the only way he can, hoping that she can one day be happy with her husband.

Catherine surprises Thomas in the way she responds to Thomas’ tutoring.  Thomas gives Catherine quite an education, using a variety of sex toys that stirred my libido!  Who knew so many sex toys existed in Victorian England!  I loved how wanton Catherine continued to be, begging Thomas to make love to her, knowing her heart already was his.  Ms. Glass creates two wonderful characters trapped by societal dictates, pushing the envelope of decency.
