Vic is finally finding his groove with his new PsyCop partner, he’s moving in with Jacob and he seems to be doing much better since he stopped popping Auracels like candy. But with his new found clarity Vic is realizing that things he had taken for granted, things that Vic took as normal, are not at all what they seem. As Vic starts to ask questions he comes against a wall of secrecy that seems to center around him, but what’s so important about him that Vic almost doesn’t exist outside his precinct and job as a PsyCop?

In the middle of all this, Jacob lands a particularly nasty case that will require more than his usual intimidating presence and intelligence to solve. But when Vic becomes involved in the case, events seem to spiral out of control, especially when Crash becomes involved as well.

Will Vic and Jacob’s relationship survive the strain of heavy secrets, Crash’s constant sexual innuendoes and a potential housewarming party for Vic’s coworkers?

In this wonderful forth installment of the PsyCop series Jordan Castillo Price digs a little deeper into Vic’s past, while keeping the current story engrossing with its off-beat characters, self-deprecating comments and the inevitable explosive chemistry between Vic and Jacob. Secrets is not to be missed by followers of the PsyCop series as it hints at revelations that will rock Vic’s world and brings to light aspects of Vic and Jacob’s personalities that will reinforce some impressions from past books and blow apart others. In Secrets Vic seems to be coming to terms with his talent and managing his dependence on drugs with a so-so degree of success, but there are still aspects of every day life that baffle him. Vic uses sarcasm and self-deprecating humor to mask his social awkwardness, but they only serve to make him more likeable for his insecurities and imperfections. Jacob is the perfect foil for Vic as he is strong, self assured and faces life head-on and without fear. Just like in the previous books, Vic and Jacob will set your screen on fire every time they even look at each other, and when they actually come together it’s liable to have you self-combust! As the forth book in the PsyCop series, Secrets is not to be missed, but be warned the ending will leave you desperately waiting for the next installment in Vic and Jacob’s story! I’ve said it before, but it bears repeating – Jordan Castillo Price has a permanent place on my keeper shelf and as soon as you read some of her work you’ll understand why! Don’t miss out on the PsyCop series – you will regret it if you do!
