American Hayleigh Davenport is a woman on a mission. Last year she met and fell instantly in love with Australian Cohen Thorn. They had a one-night stand and promised to meet each other one year later. Traveling to Sydney, Hayleigh wonders if Cohen feels the same way she does. Is there such a thing as love at first sight? Can two people from opposite sides of the globe develop a lasting relationship?

I enjoyed Boomerang Love. I admired Hayleigh’s spunk. She risked her heart in the hopes Cohen would feel the same way she did. Deep down, Hayleigh wants a forever love and hopes Cohen will grant her that wish. She’s determined to stock up a lifetime of memories in a weekend’s time, though, just in case Cohen breaks her heart. Cohen is just as vulnerable as Hayleigh. I loved that he took one of his brothers with him for moral support as he goes in search of her. I knew he was a goner when, instead of staying the entire time in her hotel room, he insists on taking her to his family’s ranch in the Australian outback.

I was highly impressed with Ms. Lopez’s use of Australian slang in Boomerang Love. These colloquialisms added color to the story making it more enjoyable. Her vivid description of the Australian outback made me appreciate this rugged locale all the more.

Cohen has a very interesting family--two older brothers and a very opinionated mum. Please return to the Thorn family soon, Ms. Lopez, because I’m dying to learn more about them.
