Dani Jones has been hired to be the camp cook at Thompson’s Logging Camp. There she’s fallen in love...ah, with her new boss’ stove. It’s top of the line and makes cooking and baking a dream. And there is a pantry and ice box too. This is true heaven! She’s only planning to be there long enough to earn enough money to join her fiancée Jamie McCollum in California. But her plans change when she decides that her new boss, Big John, needs a wife before she leaves. Deciding to be the matchmaker, she’s determined to find him one--whether he thinks he needs a wife or not. With a list of single ladies’ names, she sets out to determine if they are right for Big John. But will she succeed in finding a wife for Big John before she leaves? Or will she decide she would make the best wife of all? This was a really good book. And reading about the cupcakes and pies Dani made for Big John was making me hungry as I read! The humor here was so much fun. I laughed at Dani’s attempts at finding a wife for Big John, and the results she received. The romance blossomed nicely too. I liked the interaction Lauri Robinson created between Dani and Big John as they got to know each other and eventually fall in love. I definitely recommend reading Wife For Big John. I enjoyed it immensely and you will too! |
