Theda Black gives us a great story in After Anna. It revolves around love, loss, sorrow and how we overcome it. Tyler goes way above the call of duty to be a good friend, and not just sexually, to Will. He is the epitome of what a real friend should be. He brings Will back from a very dark place. Will’s a confused character, and even at the end of the book, he is still confused. I found myself somewhat confused. I like my books to end with a clear, decisive ending. This one doesn’t do that. But it’s well written and emotionally gripping. Theda Black does deliver in that department. If you like your novels to have a clear or a happy ending, After Anna might not be for you. This is more a walk on the emotional side of love between two men.
