“Brent couldn’t shake the feeling that he’d dug his own grave.” Welcome back to the world of Heaven Sent. It is almost New Year's and all of the couples in the band Heaven Sent have differing turmoil in their lives: from Brent hurting his hand and Darien’s insane jealousy of Christopher’s client, to Luc’s movie co-star intruding in his life and Johnny’s issues with Tyler keeping secrets. These boys need to rock out on New Years’ Eve and still salvage their relationships for the next year.

Picking up Heaven Sent: Genesis is like knocking on the door to visit old friends. It is a fun and nicely paced re-visitation to the world of Jet Mykles and the four couples that she introduced in previous Heaven Sent books. For any fan of the previous books, this is a must read to re-enter the lives of Luc, Brent, Darien and Johnny and find out how their relationships with Reese, Hell, Christopher and Tyler have progressed. Even without having read the previous works this book would be entertaining, but probably not as interesting as with the back history to explain the dynamic tensions that torment or create each couple. If you have read ANY of the others, this book is a steamy, hot yaoi read. Ms. Mykles' sex/love scenes are descriptive and yet integral to the relationships of her characters. I admit to fanning myself a little, but I couldn’t tear my eye from the page to get a cold drink (or maybe a cold shower)!
