Jenny comes from a wealthy family, and is accustomed to getting everything she wants. What she wants at the moment is Tyrone Holt. This dark and sensuous man is a lawyer. A glimpse of him makes her weak-kneed, and the sound of his voice turns her to melted butter. Jenny's fantasy is to have this man in her bed…only Ty doesn't know she's alive. Tyrone Holt doesn't "do" relationships. He is strictly "love 'em and leave 'em". When he leaves them, they're generally purring, but long work hours is only one of his reasons for non-commitment. When he encounters Jenny, and she offers him an excuse to avoid an unwanted social engagement, Ty offers her his thanks. He never expects to encounter her later at a club filled with African Americans—and her, pale and blond, in a sinful red dress! Karen Erickson packs so much white hot sex into this short book that the story had ended before I was ready to let Jenny and Ty go. Covet is a juicy read worth savoring, the story of two people who want only each other's bodies, but whose hearts get in the way. They're snagged by commitment when they least expect it. This is a wonderful story that will, well and truly, make you squirm with delight! |
