Christian Ryder is a very rich, but lonely man. He is a volunteer firefighter with a secret—one that keeps getting those around him killed. Christian is a Pyromancer. He possesses dark, dangerous abilities that are both a burden and a gift. But it isolates him, and he feels he cannot connect with anyone. How could he explain what he is? And how would he keep them from harm’s way?

Tanner O’Bannon is broken and desperate. His father recently died and left Tanner with huge gambling debts. In his desperation to pay his father’s creditors and finish college, Tanner becomes a male escort. Yet the work begins to take a toll on him. Then through the escort service, he meets Christian. Christian has hired Tanner for a night of anonymous sex with no strings attached. Only when Christian meets him, more than just his body burns. Can Christian have a relationship with Tanner and not get them both hurt in the process? Will Tanner be able to love Christian once he knows his deepest secret?

In Pyromancer, Amanda Young has created an awesome paranormal love story. Christian is a tortured soul you will long to save. Though he blames himself for most of the pain in the world, he has the capacity to love the right person. Tanner is a sweet, young, but over-burdened character. Yet his innocence can mend Christian’s heart. What I loved most about this book was that the paranormal elements are handled so expertly, you become completely engrossed in the world Ms. Young has created. At its heart, this story is about acceptance and love. Amanda Young makes this a truly believable book you will want more of. Pyromancer is a burning hot read you will not regret picking up!
