When Amber Drake discovered that she could see faces in pools of water and move objects with just her mind, she knew that she was different.   She never quite knew how different until a creature broke into her apartment and she learned that her most trusted friend knew more about her than her own parents. The break-in happened as her twenty-fifth birthday approached, forcing her best friend to reveal that she had to save three worlds as she has the blood of humans, trolls, and fairies running through her veins!

Three races, three swords - one Triad.  David Mack's family has protected the sword given to his race since The One had bestowed it upon his forefathers before banishing them from The Garden. As the time of The Triad approaches, the hope of saving the three worlds from darkness lies within Amber. David only meant to guard her but once he met her, fell head over heels in love with her.   As fate would have it, it’s only through her death though that the three worlds can be saved.

Wow! P.K. Eden tells an explosive story that had me on the edge of my seat and inhaling this book like a good cup of butter pecan flavored coffee!  The action and suspense was non-stop!  Amber only wanted to live a normal life, having a husband and children but the dark and deadly troll King wanted her and would not stop at nothing until he had her; he knew who she was while she had no clue what he even wanted from her which made Firebrand all the more exciting.

Human, trolls, fairies, goblins, and specters dueled to the death to save their worlds in a manner reminiscent of Armageddon.  Firebrand contains such vivid detail that I could picture it all happening as the words leaped off the pages therefore making this a definite must read!  Oh, I do hope there is a sequel!!!
