KarRa was extremely upset when Rylan had been gone for four days. Where was he? Rylan has made the decision that KarRa needs to learn how to survive without him by her side. He longs for children and KarRa doesn’t want to bring children into the life they live. KarRa and Rylan have always been there for each other, guarding each other's back. There never were any choices for KarRa in the dark slums where it was a daily battle for survival. But Rylan was always there from the beginning. KarRa loved Rylan. One day Rylan makes a choice that almost destroys KarRa. She still has no choice but to go on, to survive on her own. When the events come to pass that were foretold, Rylan must face his Beast heritage or die. KarRa makes up her mind she will do whatever must be done to keep Rylan alive. She is willing to sacrifice herself for Rylan. Now, it's KarRa’s turn for choices. She can choose to be mated with Rylan or live a different life in the city. Which will KarRa choose? Wild Within is a lot tamer than the first book, Beast Within. Mima integrates this story well with the first book. They are actually taking place at the same time. I enjoy the way Mima sets her world and the story line. KarRa is so in love with Rylan, but he loves her like a sister. I could almost feel the emotion these two wrought on each other. It was as if I was in the rooms watching the story unfold instead of reading it. This is a wonderful series; I can’t wait for the next book! |
