Back in high school, Angel and Georgio had plans to run away together and get married until his father stepped in and bullied Georgio into changing his plans. Now at a high school reunion twenty years later, Angel is facing the man who broke her heart and changed her life. When he takes her home and seduces her, she’s wary of his intent. Even if she can understand the reasons behind his decision when they were young, he still could have tried to contact her sometime in the past twenty years. But then, she could have – in fact, should have contacted him - so they both share the blame. Both have been keeping secrets from each other for far too long. Will she give him a second chance? Romeo’s Revenge by Mimi Riser is a well-crafted reunion story that’s heartwarming and sizzling at the same time. I love how Angel and Georgio connect after all the time that has passed, both uncertain about a lot of things but also realizing they never stopped loving each other. The passion between them is palpable and deliciously written. Georgio is a phenomenal hero; he gives a whole new meaning to the word fidelity. There are lots of really good twists and surprises in this book that will keep readers glued to the page until the very end. You’ll want to be sure and pick up this excellent book, and don’t forget to check out Ms. Riser’s backlist and upcoming releases as well. Her style is unique and has an outstanding flair that’s sure to make her a favorite. |
