Callie Jones, recently divorced after twenty years of marriage, is looking for a little excitement. She opened her own business with her settlement and has become friends with her employee Jewels. Kean Phelan is tired of hearing his dad’s speech about how it’s time to find a mate and take over the pack. Kean knows he’s to be alpha, but he just doesn’t want a mate right now. Jewels encourages Callie to find out more about cougar bars and dating younger men. Callie’s life has been all work and no play. Doing some research on the internet, Callie registers herself at a website and the next morning receives a misdirected email invite to a Halloween party. Kean has arranged the usual party for the males of the pack; he hires escorts for a night of sex and fun on the night of the full moon. Looking forward to the night of rut and fornication, Kean doesn’t expect what he finds. Now he just has to convince Callie she is his mate and to accept him. Callie is only expecting one night of wild uninhibited sex, and she doesn’t understand why she is drawn to the handsome Kean. I really enjoyed All Lycan’s Eve by KyAnn Waters. Callie is the kind of heroine I really admire; she’s strong and passionate, not wimpy and whiney. Kean is all Alpha male, but is able to show compassion--a necessary quality for an awesome hero. I loved the irony of the whole situation and it’s what made the story so believable. Ms. Waters writes with passion; the sex is sizzling hot and the characters are well written. The ending leads me to believe that there is another story coming, and I certainly hope so. I could not get enough of All Lycan’s Eve. |
