Amory has come to Settler’s Mine to find his heartstone, not make friends or socialize. After all, he has a girl waiting for him back home and he has no business being interested in anyone else. Still, Amory has caught the attention of Zelda and Bren, the mine owners. Even though he wants nothing to do with them or the way they make him feel, Amory can’t help the tingly feeling he gets in the pit of his stomach whenever he is around Zelda or Bren. Will he be able to escape the mine and Zelda and Bren when he finds his heartstone? Or will these strange feelings keep him on the Mine? Zelda and Bren have been together for quite a while, but they have never dared to hope that they would be blessed enough to find their third mate. But, both of them seem to have an attraction for Amory that they can’t help and continuously seek him out – could he be their third mate? If he is, will they be able to convince Amory to stay with them at Settler’s Mine? But fate has more in store for these three as Gemini, a man from Zelda’s past, comes to stir up trouble and endanger the mine. Will Zelda, Bren and Amory be stronger than the trouble ahead? The Lovers is a fun and steamy sci-fi ménage romance. There is plenty of action, underhanded tricks and blistering sex to create a romance that will keep you glued to the screen. Michele Armstrong continues to expand on the universe she first introduced in the previous book, The Rivals, with characters that will pull at your heartstrings and leave you panting for more. Amory is a headstrong man full of conviction and deeply honorable, even when his honor pulls him in a direction he doesn’t want to go. Zelda and Bren are both alphas in their own ways with steely strength that disguises their vulnerabilities. It is fascinating to watch the how control flows back and forth between all three during their moments of passion and when these three finally come together they will scorch you with their heat and leave you sweating at the end of each encounter. I found myself by turns frustrated, anxious and flushed from passion by the intrigue and love shared between Amory, Zelda and Bren. Get yourself The Lovers when you go shopping, you will find this wonderful universe and the characters irresistible! Note: While The Lovers is the second book of the Settler’s Mine, series it can be read as a stand alone novel. However, reading both The Rivals then The Lovers is a lot more fun! |
