Mona Lisa is now the Queen and the new ruler of the Louisiana Bayou domain. Once an orphan child, she now rules a whole domain. Mona Lisa has a lot on her plate, but now under the full moon, she has more to contend with. She has a new craving that may shorten her new life. This craving needs to be controlled or she may again find herself fighting just to exist. Dante is a warrior and the son of a healer. He also becomes Mona Lisa’s lover after she is asked to stop his suffering from moon madness. Without the light from a Queen, he would become just a ravishing beast that would have to be put down before he killed anyone. The problem is that the full moon is weeks away and the only other way to help Dante is through sex. Sex = Pleasure = Light. Simple, right? Wrong. Dante is also cursed to endure the burden of a never-ending cycle of life and death. Fate can be a cruel mistress sometimes; however, fate can also be merciful and Mona Lisa feels that maybe they both have been giving this second chance for a reason. But fate also has a wicked sense of humor and with every blessing there is always a price to pay. The only word to sums up Mona Lisa Craving by Sunny is “wow!” Reading this author’s books is like watching an orchestra. Every section is completely in tune with the next and Sunny is the conductor. This book is another winner. The way the story builds suspense and the situations that Mona Lisa always seems to find herself in just make you fall more and more in love with this character. And we should all be so lucky to have such breathtaking men, as Mona Lisa has in her life, worship the ground we walk on the way they do with our heroine. The love scenes between Dante and Mona Lisa are scorchingly hot and so incredibly touching. A snappy heroine, Mona Lisa with her clever wit and always-sarcastic mouth fits this role to a tee. Sunny has an incredible sense of irony (like her heroine, Mona Lisa), she catches you off guard during some extreme moment and you cannot help but crack a smile. As if she and the reader are sharing a private joke between themselves. Sunny also has an incredible sense of humor along with an incredible ability to write scenes that the best Sci-Fi movies would envy. There is nothing as strong as the written word when it comes to giving the right tools to the imagination. |
