Emily Lucent works as a curator in a small museum in Chicago, Illinois but is proud that it is she who has landed the Scottish antiques. In a week she will marry Jon Hart, but lately it is another man's voice that she hears just before the sun rises. Netzach has watched his only love be reincarnated again and again but this time Emily looks so much like Ariel that he breaks The One's rule and says her name. In just days, his love will marry the man who has killed her in the past. How can he be a Watcher and not act? Zach is forced to watch Emily by The Powers Above and gets called before the council of twelve to learn of his fate for disobeying. But he is determined to put an end to his assignment as he can no longer endure the misery of seeing his love with other men. JJ Keller creates a story that grabs you at the first page. The author entangles you in her wonderful story and just as you start to cry at the injustice done to Emily, she puts a smile on your face. The Watcher is not much on white hot sex, but you get a vivid tour of Scotland and a great plot instead, and I have never enjoyed a story more. The Watcher is one of those books that you just want to read again and I heartily recommend it! |
