Samantha Ellis can’t believe it when she catches her fiancé with his tongue down a blond floozy's throat, and at her favourite restaurant too! Calling off their engagement there and then is the only option her anger gives her. Tommy the scoundrel follows her out the door pleading with her, but Samantha is not in the mood to forgive. Donovan Carter hears the ruckus in the parking lot of his restaurant and seeing an angry man take menacing steps toward a woman he hurries over to intervene. Imagine his surprise when he sees the girl that he had a crush on in high school, a girl who has turned into a delicious looking woman! He scares off the madman and asks Samantha out for dinner there and then. Karen Erickson packs a lot of sex in her short story which will have most of us high-fiving Samantha for pulling herself so nicely in her darkest hour. The only draw back in this story is that it is much too short as I wanted to see what happened next. Did Tommy win Samantha back or did she finally get married, but to Donovan? Karen Erickson, would you consider writing an ending for Donovan and Samantha or should I just write it myself as I love HEA? A Taste of Revenge is a wonderful short read that has me searching for more books from this author. |
