Darien is the last single member of Heaven Sent. He’s watched the other members of the band fall in love one by one, all with men. Darien wants the emotional commitment that the others have and in a rash move he marries the woman he is currently dating, much to the dismay of his friends. Just a few short months later he is divorcing his wife having learned that marrying in haste will not bring the happiness he seeks. Darien needs a lawyer for his divorce and fellow band mate Hell recommends his friend Christopher Faith. As they spend time together over the months Darien notices he is becoming very attracted to Chris and wonders if he should try romance with a man. When his divorce is final Darien approaches Chris and Chris reluctantly allows Darien to seduce him. The two men only have a short time together before Darien’s commitment to Heaven Sent calls him away but he is determined to pursue his feelings for Chris. However, Chris has seen the devil may care attitude Darien has for serious issues and doesn’t believe that Darien means it when he says he loves Chris. It will take Heaven to convince Chris of Darien’s sincerity. Faith is the fourth book in the Heaven Sent series by Jet Mykles. While not as intense as other books in the series, I loved every page of the story. I found myself wondering how Ms. Mykles would introduce a male lover into Darien’s life and much to my pleasure, she does it wonderfully! The meat of the story is about Darien’s evolving feelings for Chris and his issues with commitment that Chris feels he has. Darien is the talker of the group and the most laid back. I think he’s my favorite out of the entire group. Chris is his perfect match, making him work for a relationship for a change. The love scenes in Faith are inspired! Darien jumps into a sexual relationship with another man with no reservations and much excitement in a scene that will astound you. I can only hope this is not the end of a series that has brought me much joy and entertainment. While you can read each story in Heaven Sent separately, I recommend reading the entire series. You won’t regret it! |
