As one of the demon dead, Lucinda’s world is devoid of color. As the daughter of the High Lord of Hell she is a princess of nothing and her only duties are chasing and returning wayward demons. One pleasure left to her is feeding off the Monere, a race she was a member of until her death. As a way to ward off her loneliness, she visits the living world. At one of those times she comes across a lone Monere warrior with a young boy, a Mixed Blood living among the humans. She is curiously drawn to them but what happens next is something she isn’t prepared for. On the run, a rogue warrior with no Queen to protect him, Stephan encounters Lucinda after she shows him and his charge an act of kindness. Even though not sure exactly what she is, yet knowing she is more than what she appears, he willingly submits to her. In the savage world of the Monere submission is forced, but when given freely it is not a sign of weakness, but actually a showing of respect and at times an act of bravery. This warrior stirs feelings in her she long since thought dead and he captivates Lucinda. Her life, or her death rather, has taken a turn that will take Lucinda on a journey to a destiny she could never have imaged. Lucinda, Darkly is one of those books that grabs you and won’t let go! Such an incredible start to a series Lucinda, Darkly simply has it all. Each turn of the page will take you step-by-step into this intricately fascinating world. Sunny’s ingenious imagination captivates colors even in the moonlit realms of the Monere race. Both erotica and paranormal readers alike will be engrossed by the story as Sunny introduces a place where pain brings pleasure and blood is an aphrodisiac. One thing is for sure, Sunny cannot be accused of white washing her writing. She does however have an incredible way of sensing just the right time to pull back and have you suddenly chuckling over some clever remark from one of the characters, giving the reader a much-needed moment to catch their breath and collect herself. With characters so genuine, and a story so compelling I would be surprised if we don’t soon see Lucinda, Darkly on the best sellers list. Lucinda, Darkly is the first in Sunny’s new paranormal Demon Princess Chronicles series. It should also be noted that Lucinda, Darkly is a spin-off from her Children Of The Moon series. |
