Torqued Tales is a wonderful anthology and its nineteen short stories really do offer something for everyone. In this collection, you will find shape-shifters, magical enchantments – both good and evil, fantastic creatures, revenge, love and sex. As usual, Willa Okati, BA Tortuga, Vic Winter and Sean Michael have written stories that will leave you laughing and sighing while they scorch you with the encounters their characters share. Particularly funny is Willa Okati’s take on the Sleeping Beauty fairy tale and Sean Michael’s Red Riding Hood twist using Rig, Rock and Dick from the Jarhead series. I also found Kiernan Kelly’s take on the Cinderella tale to be laugh out loud funny. One big surprise for me was the stories by Angelia Sparrow, Jay Lygon and Elisa Viperas as I had not encountered their work before. I found Angelia Sparrow’s story to be funny, tender and enchanting. Jay Lygon has written a story that had me sweating with its raunchiness and laughing at the same time. In Elisa Viperas’ story, the humor and the character’s cuteness had me sighing at the end and wishing for more. All the stories are good with their varied twists on classic fairy tales, ranging from mildly kinky to outrageously fantastic. The authors have done a great job filling their stories with wit, humor and unforgettable characters.

If you enjoy gay romance you should definitely pick up Torqued Tales. This book – with its variety of outlooks on romance – ranges from raunchy to tender and is sure to keep you entertained from start to finish!
